Marceline Campout 05 - Recap

Okay, so I'm supposed to say something about campout in october, right?

Well, uh, it was lots of fun and pretty cool! It was about "What sunset are you riding off into?" I think this meant basically something about how do you want to live your life, or what path are you traveling on, or what is your "destination".

Friday night I didn't get there until later, because I had to pick up my sister from Oklahoma. We went straight to the girl's house. It was after midnight and some were still awake! We bedded down soon enough, though.
Saturday, if I remember right, Norman Boone was leading the sabbath school class (as usual), and we were talking about...okay I forgot what we were talking about. but it was good!! then there was the service, which was pretty good, I think there were several specials. Bruce spoke about the theme, and challenged us to not get into the same stuff the people of the world do (gambling, drinking, etc. etc.). The church was packed; we had lots of youth and adults and young adults and visitors of all ages. Then we had lunch, and in the afternoon we had a specials service, if I remember correctly. Then we broke to change and go to Roger & Leola's to get on hay tractors and trailors and go for a hay ride! That was lots of fun, but it was soooo cold!! and we got SOO dusty! But it was still lots of fun!! Then we rode all the way down to Steve & Joyce Boone's for a bonfire and dinner! We had a campfire worship service, and just hung out and had some more fun! Then, after a few hours, we piled into the trucks and trailers and rode back to Roger & Leola's, and then drove back to our respective houses (girls-->Michelle's, boys-->Norman's). Then we had evening devotions and talked some more...and THEN went to bed/sleep!
Then sunday morning we all got up, went to the church, ate breakfast, talked and stuff, (i think some cleaning up might've been done), and then we to play softball!! that was lots of fun, and many people played hard. then we had lunch at at the park and played some football and frisbee...and people hung out some more! Finally *sadly* people began to part ways. It had been a fun weekend, and we were all mutually encouraged in our faith.

If anyone wants to come to Winterfest or Campout, you guys should!! It's SO much fun, and usually you will find people VERY willing to pray with you and encourage you in your faith - no matter what you're going through!! You will also find people willing to rejoice with you in whatever good things are happening in your life as well. It's a great time of encouragement if that's what you're looking for. Hope to see you at Winterfest in February!!

Just another test of the News Broadcasting Network.

This is only a test.

If this were a real news article it would contain important information, like Big Cow gets Eaten by Little Worm, Little Cow Mooed to tears. or Man with 5 Finger Discount Down to 4 After Punishment.

Again this was only a test.

Feel free to submit anything you feel is news worthy and we'll see about posting it here!
